Hello friends,

Happy 2026! In our New Year’s Eve poll, we asked if you were setting resolutions for 2026. 12% said they are making resolutions, 66% said they have goals, but they aren’t calling them resolutions, and 22% said “no resolutions for me.” It sounds like many of us like to make goals, but calling them “resolutions” isn’t our cup of tea.

For some, this is the week where we realize we’ve made some fairly lofty goals, and it’s going to be hard to follow through. But Lancaster, we got this! Whether you prefer to call them goals or resolutions, I’m sure you’ll find a way.

Here's what we have for you this week:

  • Spot the AI - Lancaster Edition

  • Featured Story - The Lancaster Snow Angels

  • A new kind of musical experience

Quiz: Can You Spot the Fake (AI) Photo?

We’ve compiled a list of our beloved local landmarks, but there’s a twist: some of these are AI-generated fakes, and others are real photos. Can you spot the impostors?

Lancaster Snow Angels

The Lancaster Snow Angels are a volunteer-driven nonprofit built on a simple idea: neighbors helping neighbors. When winter storms roll through Lancaster County, you’ll find them clearing driveways, shoveling sidewalks, and checking in on neighbors who need help the most.

I recently spoke with Jen Jarvis, founder and president of Lancaster Snow Angels. While awareness of the organization is growing, Jen emphasized that the needs across the county are still high.

A Different Kind of Musical Experience: The Chill Side

A writer once said “Music is music. But music is also the stuff surrounding the music”. It’s that ethos that inspired Rob Walker to create The Chill Side, a new event at Zoetropolis on January 22nd. The Chill Side will be a curated, downtempo musical experience that blends music, conversation, and atmosphere.

So Good Lancaster Interviews David Greene

By now, you've probably heard that David Greene, the McCaskey grad, former NPR Morning Edition co-host, and White House correspondent, is coming home to lead a nonprofit acquisition of LNP. People who care about our local media landscape are curious about what the paper will look like under Greene’s leadership. Our friends at the So Good Lancaster podcast sat down with Greene to hear his vision. This is an episode you won't want to miss.
